Welcome to

Penzance Wheelers

Britain's most south-westerly cycling club, Penzance Wheelers was formed in the 1930s.

We're lucky to be able to ride on some of the most picturesque roads in the  country, with the sea and moors of West Cornwall as a constant backdrop.

During the racing season we promote time trials at all distances, a criterium road race series, a locally-based 10-mile time trial series and regular training evenings.

With a large and active membership, we hold club runs every Sunday plus rides on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weekly club social gatherings (Tuesday, 19:00 onwards) at The Star Inn, Crowlas, which is also a mecca for lovers of good beer!

We hold an annual charity ride in aid of Prostate Cancer UK (usually in April), we've run a ladies only sportive type event for the last two years, and also weekly "chain gang" sessions in the summer plus annual roller-racing and hill-climb events.

Penzance Wheelers has produced riders of regional, national and international standing. We are an inclusive club that welcomes new members - male and female, young and old.

Proceeds from the Prostate Cancer UK Charity ride 2014

The Club sent £670 to the charity that was collected on the day of the ride, plus some cheques that were received during the subsequent weeks, these brought the total raised to well over £700. A great result on what was a pretty inclement day. Thanks to all the riders from the many clubs who supported us.

Don't forget that membership fees are due now!
