The most south-westerly cycling club in the British Isles, Penzance Wheelers serves the cycling community of West Cornwall and has been in existence since the 1930s.
With a large and active membership, Penzance Wheelers holds Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday club rides, regular Monday club nights at the Bath Inn Penzance, and an annual dinner and presentation evening. We maintain an up-to-date web site and encourage regular contact and exchange of views through our Facebook group. As well as mid-week evening training sessions, we organise an annual spring training week to Denia in Spain.
In 2010 the club will promote 8 club and 3 open time trials, a hill climb, a roller racing chamionships and 8 closed circuit criterium road races. We enter teams in local and regional team time trials, and have annual club championships at 10, 25, 50 miles time trials, best all-rounder, road race, hill climb, and roller racing.
Penzance Wheelers has produced riders of regional, national and international standing.
